Bottom Line: Hosting a congressional site visit is an easy way to promote your business and the propane industry.
Hosting a site visit at your company is an easy way to introduce lawmakers to our industry and allows them to understand better the valuable service we provide to the community. Site visits are an opportunity to engage with policymakers and explain the issues that are important to your business. It also allows public officials to meet the hardworking men and women who provide critical energy to their constituents.
Setting up a site visit in 3 simple steps:
Step 1. Contact NPGA and let them know which member of Congress you would like to host. NPGA will then contact that official on your behalf.
Step 2. A congressional staffer will reach out to you to confirm the date and logistics of the site visit.
Step 3. Host your legislator. Take them on a tour of your facility, introduce them to your employees, and have a friendly conversation. NPGA will provide you with background information and talking points to make the process as easy as possible.
If your company is interested in hosting a member of Congress at your propane facility, please contact NPGA’s Eric Sears. In addition, you can find more information on NPGA’s website under the Propane Days 365 (members only, password required) section.
