Check out NPGA’s Funding Resources webpage. In the coming weeks, the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) will open applications for the Hazardous Materials Grant Program. The funding program has six avenues, with two propane-eligible opportunities – Community Safety (CS) and Hazardous Material Instructor Training (HMIT). Recently, NPGA created a sub-award grant process where NPGA applies to federal grant opportunities, like HMIT and CS, on behalf of the state and regional associations that submit applicable project proposals. NPGA was awarded a hazmat grant from PHMSA for $29,000 with two sub-awardees – South Dakota and Virginia. The funding opportunity is listed on NPGA’s Funding Resources webpage. The deadline to submit the necessary information is February 22, 2023, at 5 pm ET.
