Bottom Line: The TS&S Committee voted to send 10 proposals out for review and comment and 2 proposals for letter ballot. NPGA’s Technology, Standards and Safety Committee met this week in Indianapolis to continue its work refining the codes and standards that are adopted by states and other jurisdictions and used to regulate the propane industry.
The Committee voted to send 10 proposals out for review and comment and 2 proposals for letter ballot. Several dockets were closed, mostly those where the work was done and incorporated into NFPA 58. In addition, a proposal addressing tracer wire and tape was approved to be forwarded to the Board of Directors for approval. That proposal will be heard at the winter Board meeting in 2023.
The next meeting of the TS&S Committee is scheduled for March 5-7, 2023 in Kansas City and all NPGA members are welcome to attend. For more information, please contact Bruce Swiecicki, NPGA’s Chief Technical Officer.
