Bottom Line: Inventories levels and export trends are showing signs of a “just in time” market.
RBN Energy analysis shows that nationwide inventory stock levels are increasing, but remain below levels of this time last year. Additionally, some regions remain below the 5-year average, like the Midwest. Exports out of the Gulf Coast are relatively normal, but there is an increase to export traffic from the Northeast of PADD 1, likely due to the operation of the Mariner East 2 pipeline. Days of Supply data also reflect less product than the same week in 2021 and only slightly above the 5-year low.
