Congresswoman Kat Cammack (R-FL) recently visited J&J Gas Service, Inc. in Mayo, FL. Brandon Hewett, President of J&J Gas Service, hosted the tour for the Congresswoman and her staff, where he showcased the facility and briefed the delegation on how J&J Gas Service is a leading fuel provider for farms in Florida. The group discussed opportunities in the upcoming farm bill that would provide farmers and ranchers across the country access to affordable propane, such as the Growing Rural Ag Infrastructure Needs to Deliver Rising Yields (GRAIN DRY) Act (H.R. 1290) and the Supporting Tools and Opportunities for Rural Ag Growth and Energy (STORAGE) Act (H.R. 1623). As a leading voice on the powerful Agriculture and Energy & Commerce Committees, this tour offered Congresswoman Cammack first-hand experience of propane’s uses on the farm, the impact propane makes on local communities, and provided valuable context on the effects of policymaking.
