On May 24, NPGA submitted a comment in response to the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Information Collection Review concerning the Chemical Security Assessment Tool (CSAT), which DHS uses in its management of the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) Program. NPGA and its members were concerned that DHS was unclear as to the burden of its information collection, and provided information to revise DHS’ estimates of the time it took to complete the CSAT. A number of NPGA members are subject to CFATS evaluation, and NPGA is actively seeking to modify the program in order to reduce the burden of compliance.
