The Benchmarking Council met in early March in New Orleans. Members participated in discussions about human resources, employee retention, safety, and finances. Additionally, there were conversations about marketing, sales teams, and truck maintenance.
Lunch sponsors Bergquist Inc. and One Tank invited Eric Sears give an update on NPGA’s wins, the challenges facing the industry, and energy choice opportunities across the states. After wrapping up for the day, members networked at the Sponsor’s Reception hosted by Bergquist, One Tank, Cetane Associates, Rural Computer Consultants, and Tiger Payments.

The individual groups will meet independently this summer, with most groups taking this opportunity to visit one of their member’s facilities. The next Benchmarking Council meeting is September 21-22, 2023 in Kansas City, Missouri.
The new Cylinder Exchange group met for the first time on Wednesday, March 8, and discussed items unique to this facet of the propane industry. The group spoke about topics ranging from truck design to software and operations. They look forward to meeting again in Kansas City on September 20, 2023.
