Tri Gas & Oil hosted a site visit for seven NPGA staffers on May 25.
The group toured the main facility in Federalsburg, MD where they received an overview of facility and business operations, saw a pick-up truck retrofitted for Autogas, a service truck with a crane/lift gate and how a tech uses it on installations, and the vehicle maintenance shop. Staff learned about above-ground and underground tanks and different size cylinders and learned about the maintenance and requalification of tanks. The group then moved to the Tri Gas & Oil rail terminal in Williamsburg, MD where they saw the training room, rail cars, and a state-of-the-art bobtail.
Staff had the opportunity to pull the hoses and attach them to the bobtail, gaining perspective on the dangerous and hard work propane delivery drivers do every day.
Here, Edward Bohls, NPGA Member Services Manager, gets on-the-job training from Jeff Dean, Tri Gas & Oil Director of Safety and Compliance.
Thanks to the Tri Gas & Oil team for hosting NPGA!
