UPDATE: West Virginia Emergency Declaration – Limited Hours of Service Waiver Extended

February 2, 2019
News

The West Virginia Division of Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness extended a Limited Waiver of the 60/70 hour rule. The waiver is limited to operators of vehicles making propane and/or heating fuel deliveries to residential or commercial locations within the state, or operators of vehicles transporting heating fuels from terminal locations to heating fuel delivery companies. In addition, a company may only utilize the waiver if all drivers at the company have reached the 60/70 hour limitation. The announcement does not waive the maximum driving time or maximum on-duty time.

The waiver is effective from noon, January 25, 2019 until 11:59 pm, February 11, 2019.

The latest guidance on emergency declarations and waivers by the National Association of State Energy Officials is available here.  Please direct any questions to or share new information with Sarah Reboli, NPGA Director of Regulatory Affairs.
