Chris Earhart, Chairman
Chris is the president of Dixie Gas and Oil Corporation in Verona, VA. He is a member, past president, and former director of the Virginia Propane Gas Association. He has served on the board of directors of the National Propane Gas Association (NPGA) since 1997. Currently, Earhart and his wife, Becky, reside near Verona, VA and have a small cow/calf farming operation.
Randy Thompson, Chairman Elect
As a Founder and Senior Advisor at ThompsonGas, LLC., and its various subsidiaries and affiliates, J. Randall Thompson is leading the company his grandfather and his father grew to deliver exceptional propane energy and comfort products in the United States market. Mr. Thompson joined the company in 1987 as an installer while attending college. After a tour with the United States Marine Corps, where he served as a logistics non-commissioned officer during Operation Desert Shield and Storm, Mr. Thompson completed his BS degree at Shepherd University and has been working towards an MBA at Frostburg.
Denis Gagne, Vice Chair
Denis Gagne is currently the Senior VP of Supply and Acquisitions at Eastern Propane & Oil where he has been employed for forty three years. Denis is a fifty year veteran of the propane industry with experience in almost every facet of the business. During this time, he has also served in leadership positions with NPGA including the Executive Committee, Government Affairs Committee, Propane Supply and Logistics committee and Past chairman of the TS&S Committee. He is also a past Chairman of the Propane Gas Association of New England (PGANE) and remains actively involved as a member of its Board of Directors. Denis and his wife, Marybeth, reside in Dover, NH and have two grown sons – Justin and Matthew.
Robert Barry, Treasurer
Robert (Bob) Barry began his career at a public accounting firm in Ann Arbor, Michigan attaining his license as a Certified Public Accountant. In 1986, Bob’s father-in-law, Larry Hinkley, purchased Bergquist, Inc. – a wholesale distributor of propane equipment; Bob became controller soon after. Upon Hinkley’s retirement in 1995, Bob became President and CEO. Bergquist has grown from a single facility, seven-employee business into a five location, sixty-three employee national independent distributor of propane equipment. Bob is the proud husband of Linda, father of Katie, Jake and Lauren and grandfather of Emma, Libby, Zeke and Suzy.
