USDA Crop Report: Planting & Condition

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Crop Report as of July 27, 2026, shows developments in corn and soybean planting and condition, crucial information for the propane and renewable fuels sectors.

Corn Progress Update

• Corn Silking is at 78% (across the 18 states that account for 91% of the corn acreage), which is ahead of the 5-year average.
• Corn Dough is at 25%, which is ahead of the 5-year average
• Crop Condition: Ratings remain consistent with last year, currently sitting at 25% fair, 50% good, and 13% excellent. 

Soybean Progress Update

• Soybeans blooming is at 80% (across the 18 states that account for 96% of the corn acreage), which is ahead of the 5-year average.
• Soybeans setting pods are at 47%, ahead of the 5-year average.
• Crop Condition: Ratings remain consistent with last year, currently sitting at 28% fair, 52% good, and 11% excellent.
