USDA Crop Report: Planting & Condition

Corn Progress Update

• Corn Silking is at 9% (across the 18 states that account for 91% of the corn acreage), which is ahead of the 5-year average.
• Crop Condition: Ratings remain consistent with last year, currently sitting at 22% fair, 58% good, and 15% excellent. 

Soybean Progress Update

• Emerged: Emerged soybeans are at 96% (across the 18 states that account for 96% of the corn acreage), which is in line with the 5-year average.

• Setting Pods: Soybeans setting pods are at 4%, ahead of the 5-year average.
• Crop Condition: Ratings remain consistent with last year, currently sitting at 27% fair, 55% good, and 11% excellent.
