U.S. Department of Agriculture: Crop Progress Report
Bottom line: Corn planting season is the same as the five-year average and displaying positive progress.
Corn planting is well underway. Planting started in April but made slow progress due to environmental conditions in many areas. As of the June 21, 2022, the Crop Report published by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) notes the emerged crop is at 95%. Additionally, the corn crop condition ranges from fair to excellent.
