The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) May 8 report shows 49% of corn is planted compared to 21% planted at this same time last year. USDA reports current planting exceeds the four-year average by 7% as well, which displays a strong planting season at the moment. NPGA tracks crop progress and other environmental factors that may impact the demand for propane during harvest season. The entire USDA crop report is available here.
