Mature corn has been reported in all assessed states except for Pennsylvania. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) report for September 5 shows mature corn at 18% of the total this week, which is exceeding the five-year average by 2%. Specifically, dented corn has reached 67% progress this week, surpassing the five-year average by 2% as well. However, the quality of corn in the “good to excellent” category has experienced a marginal decline for the second consecutive week.
NPGA continues to diligently monitor the ongoing progress and various environmental variables that might influence the demand for propane during the upcoming harvest season. To view the USDA crop report in its entirety, click here.
