USDA Crop Progress Report

As the harvest process initiates gradually in select regions, mature corn has been reported in ten of the assessed states. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) report for August 21st displays the newly introduced phase which signifies the ultimate stage of maturity for the corn crop, accounting for 4% of the total this week, aligning consistently with the four-year average. Furthermore, the report indicates that all states under evaluation currently have corn in the dented stage of development. Specifically, dented corn has reached 35% progress this week, surpassing the four-year average by 2%.

However, the quality of corn in the “good to excellent” category has experienced a marginal decline of 1% over the course of this week.

NPGA continues to diligently monitor the ongoing progress and various environmental variables that might influence the demand for propane during the upcoming harvest season. To view the USDA crop report in its entirety, click here.
