The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) July 24 report shows fourteen of eighteen selected states exhibiting doughing, with a total of 16% across the selected states. This percentage is higher than the same time last year and the four-year average. 68% of the crop in evaluated states is still in the silking stage, which is slightly above the four-year average of 65%. Good to excellent corn conditions remained the same from last week even though most areas are experiencing record-breaking temperatures. NPGA continues to track progress and other environmental factors that may impact the demand for propane during harvest season. The entire USDA crop report is available here.
