The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) July 17 report shows eleven of eighteen selected states exhibiting doughing, with a total of 7% across the selected states. This percentage is higher than the same time last year and the four-year average. 47% of the crop in evaluated states is still in the silking stage, which is slightly above the four-year average of 43%. Good to excellent corn conditions continued to increase because of much-needed rainfall. NPGA continues to track progress and other environmental factors that may impact the demand for propane during harvest season. The entire USDA crop report is available here.
