The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) July 10 report began displaying the next development stage for corn – doughing. The report shows nine of eighteen selected states exhibiting doughing, with a total 3% across the selected states. This percentage is higher than the same time last year and the four-year average. Most evaluated states are still in the silking stage, with a total of 22%, which is slightly above the four-year average of 21%. Good to excellent corn conditions continued to increase because of much-needed rainfall. NPGA continues to track progress and other environmental factors that may impact the demand for propane during harvest season. The entire USDA crop report is available here.
