The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) June 26 report began displaying the next development stage for corn – silking. The report shows ten of eighteen selected states exhibiting silking, with a total silking of 4% across the selected states. This percentage is consistent with this same time last year and the four-year average. Good corn conditions continued to decrease downward this week for the third consecutive week because of warmer-than-normal temperatures. NPGA continues to track progress and other environmental factors that may impact the demand for propane during harvest season. The entire USDA crop report is available here.
