In February, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) released the 2023 corn predictions. According to the USDA, planted area for corn is projected to increase by 3.4 million acres compared to the 2022/23 planting season. A total of 92 million acres are estimated to be planted this upcoming season before a ten-year decline begins. In 2023/24, corn yield is expected to be 181.5 bushels per acre, and production is estimated to reach 15.27 billion bushels during harvest season. For more information, access the full report here.
