The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Crop Report as of September 29, 2025, shows promising developments in corn and soybean production, crucial information for the propane and renewable fuels sectors. Corn planting is complete, and corn dented is at 95%. This year’s corn crop is 71% mature, and 18% has been harvested across the 18 states that account for 92% of the corn acreage, slightly behind the five-year average. Soybean planting is complete in the 18 states that represent 96% of the soybean acreage, 79% dropping leaves, and 19% harvested, in line with the five-year average.
Tracking crop progress is important, as crop drying facilities rely heavily on propane during the harvest season. Understanding these trends is essential for industry stakeholders preparing for the upcoming months. For a detailed view of the crop conditions and more specific data, please click here.
