The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Crop Report as of July 28, 2025, shows promising developments in corn and soybean production, crucial information for the propane and renewable fuels sectors. Corn planting is complete, with corn silking at 76%, and corn doughing at 26% across the 18 states that account for 92% of the corn acreage, in line with the five-year average. Soybean planting is complete in the 18 states that represent 96% of the soybean acreage, with 76% blooming and 41% setting pods, in line with the five-year average.
Tracking crop progress is important, as crop drying facilities rely heavily on propane during the harvest season.
