Bottom line: Harvest continues to outperform the five-year average. As of November 7, 2022, the Crop Report published by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) reports 87% of corn has been harvested, which is an increase of 4% from the same week in 2021.
[table “150” not found /]According to the U.S. National Grain Drying Profile, created by the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC), the trend continues to display a normal to drier crop this year. NPGA continues to track environmental factors impacting corn crops to navigate informed discussions pertaining to supply and harvest. NPGA and PERC encourage propane marketers to continue communicating with agricultural customers often for the upcoming crop drying season.
