Bottom line: Progress with corn planting season.
Corn planting is well underway. Planting started in April but has made slow progress due to environmental conditions in many areas. As of the May 2, 2022 the Crop Report published by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), sixteen out of the eighteen states have corn planted. Furthermore, seven out of the eighteen states have corn emerging. For the USDA’s entire crop progress report, click here.
