On April 22, 2025, Rep. Tim Moore visited the Superior Plus Propane facility in Dallas, NC. The Congressman learned about propane’s role in transportation and its vital role in his congressional district. Industry personnel emphasized the versatility and significant impact of propane in rural areas, citing its reliability, resilience, and environmental benefits. Greg Lane from Superior Plus Propane highlighted how propane supports various transportation sectors, including fleet vehicles and school buses, and is crucial for the success of businesses of all sizes.
During the visit, Rep. Moore toured the facility and discussed propane’s lower carbon emissions and use in other industries, such as agriculture. Since the Congressman is a member of the Committee on Financial Services and the House Committee on the Budget, Mr. Lane asked the Congressman to support legislation that would roll back the 25% tariffs on imported steel and aluminum from Canada and Mexico. These tariffs will lead to price increases for customers and hamper the propane equipment supply chain. Superior Plus staff thanked the Congressman for cosponsoring the Main Street Certainty Act (H.R. 703), which extends the Qualified Business Income Deduction.
Hosting a facility visit is a valuable opportunity to educate your elected officials about your company’s impact on the community – and NPGA is here to help. If your company is interested in hosting a site visit, please contact NPGA’s Senior Manager of State Association Relations, Eric Sears.
