The Reliability Challenge

NPGA released a white paper in June 2026, The Reliability Challenge: Electrification and the Future of Energy Securityevaluating the growing disconnect between state electrification policies and energy security planning. The analysis examines how policies designed to increase electrification are reshaping energy demand while state energy security plans continue to rely on fuel diversity, distributed energy resources, and delivered fuels to maintain reliability during emergencies and major disruptions.
