Rep. Lucas Visits Beck and Root Propane

Beck and Root Propane in Canute, Oklahoma, welcomed Congressman Frank Lucas for a facility visit in early July. The visit provided the opportunity to highlight the vital role propane plays in communities across Oklahoma’s Third Congressional District.

David Root, the facility owner, and his team explained to Congressman Lucas how propane powers homes, farms, and businesses and provides reliable, clean energy that supports the local economy. The tour also showcased the company’s extensive cylinder exchange facility. They also discussed how propane gets from production facilities to customers through terminals, transportation, and supply logistics.

Mr. Root used the visit to highlight key industry priorities, asking the Congressman to support the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), which helps families afford their energy bills. He also thanked the Congressman for co-sponsoring the Energy Choice Act, an important bill that protects customers’ rights to access the energy products of their choosing, regardless of their zip code. Given that Representative Lucas is a member of the House Agriculture Committee, Mr.  Root thanked him for his support of the Farm Bill, which included NPGA’s Grain Dry Act.
