It is with a very heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of New Jersey PGA’s Executive Director and dear friend Katina Pearl-Blando. Sadly, Katina lost a four-year, hard-fought battle against a very rare form of cancer on October 1, 2022. She fought this brave battle alongside her husband Ken and their family of three children. Katina joined NJPGA as Executive Director in December of 2015. She was a loyal and dedicated partner of the Association and will be remembered fondly and sorely missed. Our condolences go to Katina’s beloved husband, Ken; son, Jonathan; and daughters, Ava and Katherine.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. with Words of Remembrance beginning at 3:30 p.m. Evening Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 10, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great RC Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ 08690.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Katina’s memory to the Target Cancer Foundation, which focuses on research and treatments for rare cancers. www.targetcancerfoundation.org/support-us/donate. Look for the tab “Make this donation in honor or memory of someone”
