Washington, D.C., The National Propane Gas Association (NPGA) and its member companies are proud of our essential workforce of drivers, customer service professionals, service technicians, and the propane industry’s culture of safety. Our association members continue to successfully navigate historic weather conditions in the Northeast to provide essential services to their customers. Our monitoring of propane supplies is supported by recent data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration which confirms there has not been a disruption in propane supply. National propane inventories remain strong.
Depending on the harshness of the blizzard in their coverage areas, some propane retailers in the Northeast region of the United States are facing temporary logistical challenges in certain areas due to limited or interrupted access to roads, unsafe access paths to homes and/or tanks, and high winds creating situations of down trees and power lines.
Despite the significant weather events, NPGA member companies are carefully managing residential deliveries to keep their employees safe all while continuing to ensure customers receive the fuel they need. Our companies continue to closely monitor weather patterns and distribution logistics to support consumers across the states.
