Penn Valley Gas hosted State Representatives Shelby Labs (R-143) and Craig Staats (R-145) at their facility in Telford, PA. Dan Balmer and members of the Penn Valley Gas team gave the legislators a tour of the facility and discussed their involvement in the community. Conversations ensued with the Representatives on how propane can be part of the solution in a decarbonizing world and that propane is a widely available domestic clean energy source.
“Our site visit went very well. Both Representatives were very receptive to our message, embraced what we were sharing, and very much appreciated hearing the good news of propane. They hear so much anti-carbon and like to know the facts from the other side,” stated Dan Balmer.
Hosting a site visit at your company is an easy way to introduce lawmakers to our industry and helps them to understand the valuable service propane marketers provide to the community. Site visits are an opportunity to engage with policymakers and explain the issues that are important to your business. It also allows public officials to meet the hardworking men and women who provide critical energy to their constituents.
If your company would like to host your state or federal legislators at your propane facility, please contact NPGA’s Eric Sears. For more information please visit NPGA’s Propane Days 365 website.
