Bottom Line: Ensure your business is protected against cybercrime and cybercriminals. October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month. While cybersecurity is always an important issue, given the ongoing situation in Ukraine, the Biden administration continues to urge owners and operators of critical infrastructure to be vigilant against cyberattacks, including phishing and malware. While there is no specific threat against the propane industry, we do encourage our members to review and, if necessary, update their internal protocols for protecting themselves against bad actors online.
Following the attack on the Nord Stream 1 pipeline in the Baltic Sea last week, and given the start of the critical winter heating season, now is the perfect time to take proactive measures to protect your company’s critical infrastructure, both digital and physical.
