The National Propane Gas Association (NPGA) is actively engaging in the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) development process for the upcoming 2027 edition. NPGA has established a coalition of diverse industry stakeholders to proactively help shape energy policies. This coalition includes seasoned gas industry veterans, professional engineers, manufacturers, and architects, all united in the mission to ensure the new IECC supports and advances the interests of the gas industry.
The group is focused on collaborative efforts to address key areas of the code that impact our industry, aiming to develop recommendations that balance energy efficiency with practical, sustainable solutions for propane usage. The coalition leverages the collective expertise and insights of its members and is working diligently to influence the IECC in a manner that reflects the evolving needs of our industry and its stakeholders. This initiative underscores our commitment to advocating for the propane industry and contributing positively to the broader conversation on energy conservation and sustainability.
