Bottom Line: As of October 24, 2022, six of the twelve national rail unions have ratified the September tentative agreement with two unions declining to do so.
The labor unions and the Class 1 carriers remain in a “cooling off period” until at least November 19. As this deadline approaches, NPGA will work with industry stakeholders to mitigate impacts on the propane industry. This week, NPGA signed onto a letter from the National Retail Federation calling on the White House to play an active role in ensuring stability and predictability to the rail system.
NPGA will continue to monitor the situation and provide further updates as needed.
