As efforts to electrify combustion applications intensifies, it’s crucial that our industry better understands how electricity is generated in different parts of the country. Members can now access 2024 state electricity profiles, which contain an overview of the following information for each state:
- A breakdown of the electric power generation mix
- The total amount of carbon dioxide emitted from the electric power sector
- The carbon dioxide intensity of the electric power sector
A more comprehensive understanding of electricity’s carbon footprint is needed as we continue to confront harmful electrification proposals across the states. These electricity profiles are available under the Fight Electrification section on the Member Dashboard. For more information, please contact NPGA’s Austin Wicker.
