On November 1, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services released $3.37 billion in funding for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), which provides payment assistance to eligible households to help cover their energy bills. This tranche represents 90% of funds available under the current short-term spending bill that expires in December. The below tables detail the fiscal year 2022 LIHEAP block grant funds that were released to states, territories and tribes.
