The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released $3.7 billion in Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) funding to state and tribal governments last Friday, November 28, 2025. HHS has yet to issue an official statement on the release of funds; however, its Office of Community Services website has posted information on the funds released and the specific amounts allocated to each grant recipient.
