The development of the 2024 edition of the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) has completed the second of three phases. The legislative changes to the Public Comment Draft #1 based on the Committee Action Report for IECC Commercial, IECC Residential, and IRC Chapter 11 are now posted at the preceding links. These documents will form the basis for the upcoming third Public Comment period which will open in the coming weeks. Only substantive technical changes in legislative format will be open for comment at the ICC’S CDPaccess code development site during the 45-day comment period. Following the close of the comment period, a monograph including all comments received will be posted and the development committees will then begin meeting to take action on them all. The result will be the final draft of the 2024 IECC. For more information, please contact Bruce Swiecicki.
