In Memoriam: Virginia’s NPGA State Director John Fields

NPGA would like to share the sad news that Parker Oil COO and active VAPGA Member John Fields was tragically killed in an automobile accident on Friday, January 17, 2025. The incident occurred on state game property in Hyde County, NC, situated on the North Carolina coast below the Outer Banks. John was 38 years old.

John joined Parker Oil as COO in April 2020 and has been an active member of VAPGA & the propane industry during the past 5 years. At the time of his passing, John had been serving as VA’s NPGA State Director since 2022 and was a valued member of the VAPGA Board of Directors.

John was also a devoted husband and father. He leaves behind his loving wife and their young daughter, who were the light of his life. Our hearts go out to them during this incredibly difficult time, and we ask that you join us in keeping them in your thoughts and prayers.
