Bottom Line: Build a relationship with state officials. Invite them to your facility and tell your company story – jobs, customers, and impact.
Whether you visit officials at the state capitol or invite them to your propane facility, building relationships is crucial. State legislators make decisions that impact your business every day. Knowing who is making these decisions, having them know you, and your business is key to a successful advocacy relationship. Remember, your company helps meet the energy needs of their constituents, and that is critical.
If you are interested in hosting your local, state or federal officials, please contact NPGA’s Eric Sears. In addition, you can find more information on NPGA’s website under Propane Days 365.
