The latest report from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) provides key insights into the propane market as of March 5, 2025. The national average for residential propane was $2.732 per gallon, higher than last year by $0.140 per gallon. Prices varied across regions, with the East Coast averaging the highest prices ($3.615 per gallon) compared to the Midwest ($2.233 per gallon.) The national average for wholesale propane was $1.060 per gallon, up from the previous year by $0.121 per gallon. The East Coast has the highest prices, and Rocky Mountain has the lowest.
