The latest report from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) provides key insights into the propane market as of February 5, 2025. The national average for residential propane was $2.739 per gallon, higher than last year by $0.138 per gallon. Prices varied across regions, with the East Coast averaging the highest prices ($3.624 per gallon) compared to the Midwest ($2.240 per gallon.) The national average for wholesale propane was $1.206 per gallon, up from the previous year by $0.101 per gallon. The East Coast has the highest prices, and the Gulf Coast has the lowest.
