The latest report from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) provides key insights into the propane market as of January 29, 2025. The national average for residential propane was $2.738 per gallon, higher than last year by $0.021 per gallon. Prices varied across regions, with the East Coast averaging the highest prices ($3.622 per gallon) compared to the Midwest ($2.239 per gallon.) The national average for wholesale propane was $1.246 per gallon, down from the previous year by $0.020 per gallon. The East Coast has the highest prices, and Midwest has the lowest.
