Grants are an opportunity for propane marketers to partner with current and future customers to assist them in replacing diesel fleets with clean propane fueled fleets. The Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Diesel Emissions Reduction Act (DERA) provides funds to public and private organizations for the replacement of diesel-fueled engines and equipment. The deadline to apply is Friday, December 1, 2023. EPA will hold a webinar information session Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at 3 pm ET. To register for the webinar, please visit the DERA National Grant website.
EPA’S DERA National Grant is a competitive process awarding between 4-10 awards per EPA region, which is subject to the availability of the funds and quality of the applications received. Approximately $115 million in grant funds are available to support projects focused on reducing emissions from the existing fleet of older diesel engines.
NPGA created a How-To Guide for DERA National Grants. For the how-to guide and more funding opportunities, please visit NPGA’s Funding Resources tab on Member Dashboard.
