Bottom Line: ASHRAE expected to take action on comments on unvented heaters.
NPGA has been actively involved in the ASHRAE standards development processes, particularly as the standards affect the unvented heaters market. Later this month, the ASHRAE 62.2 committee on ventilation and indoor air quality will be meeting to take action on all of the comments that were rejected by vote of the committee. NPGA fully expects the committee to continue to adhere to its position, which will most likely lead to another appeal by NPGA and other members of its industry coalition this fall. The coalition includes natural gas interests and manufacturers of unvented heaters and other gas-fired equipment. If you have any questions, please contact Bruce Swiecicki, Chief Technical Officer.
