Bottom Line: NPGA appeals ASHRAE Standard 62.2 for a third time. NPGA and others in a small coalition are again filing to stop publication of ASHRAE Standard 62.2 from prohibiting the installation of unvented room heaters. Addendum J of the standard was approved for publication in mid-October and it is an outright prohibition of the installation of unvented heaters. The technical committee rejected all comments in opposition to Addendum J including many that were submitted by NPGA members.
