We are excited to announce that Mike Caldarera, Senior Vice President of Advocacy & Technical Services at NPGA, is a featured panelist at the 2019 National Clean Energy Week Policy Makers Symposium on September 26, 2019. Information about the Policy Makers Symposium is available here.
Mr. Caldarera will present the advantages of propane among America’s energy resources, including the benefits of abundant, domestic production. His presentation will also highlight the U.S.-based jobs in the propane industry and NPGA’s efforts to create an apprenticeship program for the propane workforce. In addition, he will speak to the international demand for propane as well as the innovation to introduce renewable propane in the market.
Propane plays an important role in the global and domestic energy market, contributing over $46 billion to the American economy annually and providing nearly 100,000 jobs in the U.S. Promoting propane as a solution to emission goals and energy needs is a top priority for NPGA. It’s crucial that propane is recognized as a clean, eco-friendly fuel, and considered part of the solution in the carbon debate, not a cause. When policymakers talk about low-carbon energy sources, we want them to think of propane.
