Minnesota Governor Tim Walz executed an emergency executive order to waive portions of the hours of service regulations in the state. The executive order cites the crop harvest demand for propane and unusual waits at terminals in nearby states leading to increasing traffic to Minnesota supply points. The executive order waives Part 395.3(b)-(c), which are the 60 hours/7 days, 70 hours/8 days, and the 34-hour restart provision. The executive order specifically does not waive the maximum on-duty time or the maximum driving time.
