Crum & Forster has specialized in providing insurance solutions to the propane industry since 1923. As an active member for 35 years, Crum & Forster has worked to raise the industry’s safety standards by promoting safety practices to mitigate common causes of incidences. Our risk engineering team has specialists who have served in safety management and training positions within the propane industry for over 25 years.

Crum & Forster’s risk engineers partner with the insured to identify potential exposures and offer risk management measures to help reduce the risk of accidents and liability. Our risk engineers are committed to helping insureds directly as well as serving the propane industry through participation on the NPGA Member Services, TS&S, and PERC Advisory committees.

Crum & Forster develops industry specific safety guides with periodic alerts sent to insureds to raise safety awareness. Multiple options are available for employee training including convenient, virtual online training led by a live instructor. HR Associates - Human Resources Support

Members have access to HR University, a training and support system designed to provide easy-to-understand solutions to employment issues. HR University provides samples for several human resources forms including timesheets, employment applications, leave requests, sexual harassment reports, and much more. HR University is valued at $600 per year, but NPGA members have access to this useful toolbox at no charge. Members can also get answers to HR questions by emailing an on-staff expert. P3 Propane Safety

P3 Compliance System

The P3 Compliance System offers a safety documentation and compliance management system that includes Error-Recognition Technology.  This cloud-based system is a unique program that enables propane marketers to store, retrieve, and analyze important safety inspections for accuracy and completion, create critical management reports for cathodic inspections, DOT cylinder recalls, regulator replacements, NFPA 58 requirements, and much more. P3 Duty to Warn Program

The P3 Duty to Warn Program is a cost-effective turn-key process designed to provide propane marketers with a customized annual consumer safety mailing for their residential and commercial customers.
