The Deputy Secretary for the Maryland Department of Transportation declared a transportation emergency in response to cold temperatures and high demand in the state. The emergency declaration waives intrastate hours-of-service requirements for those providing assistance in the state, including the delivery of propane, fuel oil, and other petroleum products.
The waiver is effective 6:00 am Tuesday, January 29, 2019 until 6:00 am Sunday, February 3, 2019.
